Yay! February 2017 is over!
If you’ve been following my blog for a while – and lets face it, you haven’t – you’ll know how much I truly love the colder months. I’m not sure why, it’s probably because I live in England and every month except maybe August is a cold month. Still, I am sort of over this winter already and I am so ready for spring/summer. I’m really looking forward to going out with my girls without freezing to death, going on adventure-dates instead of hiding from the rain and, most of all, beer gardens. There’s something about English beer gardens in the summer that’s unique to our culture and I love it.
Anyway, back to February 2017! Not a lot really happened in the first two weeks other than I paid a tenancy application fee (£200, for what?), but towards the end of the month I went to Durham to stay with Jonny and his lovely family for the weekend. As always it was wonderful. I always leave Durham with a strong sense of gratitude as I honestly do not know what my life would be like without Jonny & The Connors. Plus the weather was glorious on both days we went into Durham so I got to have a good look at the place for the first time in two years. I think one of my goals for this year is definitely to travel up there more often, especially since I seem to be getting less public transport-related anxiety these days. Take that shitty British rail service.
